Tableau GPT: Transforming Financial Decision-Making

Sirius Solutions Through The Decades

For decades, Sirius Solutions’ central focus has been financial transformations. As part of that core offering, we built real-time dashboards for our clients that helped them make business decisions around six key economic levers: Revenue, Profitability, Cash Flow, Valuation, Debt, and Cost.

While the concept seems simple at first, in reality, the data flowing into the numerous visual calculations needed time-consuming data extractions across multiple software systems, purification, transformation, and interpretation. Finally, generating clean, organized data was the first step in reaching financial transformation.

The Rise of AI and GPT

The idea that unstructured data and structured data, together, would one day provide intelligence seemed exciting, but also like a bit of a pipe dream. In other words, how could a data lake housing data from diverse organizational functions—supply chainfinance and accountinghuman resources, and so on—create logic and guidance that could both accurately reflect and predict the six economic levers?

As we look to the future, we are reviewing our data models and aiming to use more AI and GPT-like systems to make our data correlations, causation, and predictions AI-driven—in other words, to use GPT‘s inherent intelligence to derive meaning from data without our prescribed logic and direction. As a result of this strategy, we were able to transform our traditional model into a GPT-based system using Tableau.
