Their complex logistics and current payroll system created a challenge for ongoing employee communication, and the lack of an ERP system to manage the myriad of acquired applications made managing day-to-day operations difficult. Sirius Solutions’ first objective was to implement the new UKG payroll system and app, which would ultimately integrate with the new ERP and serve as the primary learning and communications center. We began by creating a stakeholder analysis identifying the impact of change on each department, role, and individual. A gap analysis was performed to identify the nuances and requirements for each new state. Risk assessments measured the potential resistance to change and level of engagement. This data was then incorporated into a comprehensive change management, education, and customized training plan to support the needs of each stakeholder group. Formalized training, guides, and tips and tricks were further customized by region and state. After going live, continuous training, monitoring, and manager support were provided to ensure a successful implementation. The knowledge gained through our ongoing involvement shaped the change management process being developed for the full ERP implementation underway.
